The Ferguson twins... ...while doing their own demented and macabre version of cow tipping are eager for even more local fame and fortune so they concoct a plan to dress up their black German Shepherd in left over Halloween House Of Horror costume parts from their latest failed money making scheme. They post grainy, blurred photos of their Alien Beast of Chillicothe Moor on TikTok. This, of course, catches the attention of two beautiful Japanese astronauts who secretly orbit the earth in a cloaked space station, which only NASA, outside of Japan knowing of it's existence. They constantly monitor for proof of extraterrestrial incursions and to expose fake UFO abductees. They adjust the focal length of their high-tech Fuji camera lens to take incredible photographs of sunset over Hokkaido, their home island, when they inadvertently capture an alien vessel as it slows to enter the atmosphere. Furthermore, they post it to TikTok, and since Agents Mouldy and Scooby have created an algorithm to inform them of any and all such media that involves anything of this nature, they are tipped off and begin putting two and two together...the recent spate of mutilations, weird time manipulation and now the sightings of the big black creature with red eyes and long slender ears "like the Devil's horns. "This has got to be it!" Mouldy exclaims to Scooby, who looks totally disinterested filing her nails, but agrees to tag along while her colleague searches for the proves he desperately needs.
After church, Aidene and her firefly, turned alien, turned rock n roll star... ...turned friend sat up the whole of Sunday night, Monday morning drinking coffee and Peroni, another unusual experience for the alien with the newly experienced mixture of caffeine and alcohol going straight to his rather enlarged brain causing him to get very high, excitedly talking about and playing his new discovery of music (thanks to his universal translator). The alien eventually deciding that from Aidene's vast collection that he liked David Bowie, The Bonzo Dog Dooh Dah Band, Elton John, Frank Sinatra, Moby, Devo, Chris De Burgh, Britney Spears, Richard Strauss and Gustav Holst the best....but of course his particular favorite songs were La Bamba, Chantilly Lace and That'll Be The Day. She even taught him how to sing Do-Re-Me which he found quite exhilarating but fiendishly difficult to master the cadence due to the lack of vowels in his native language. Though with his very long fingers, he could easily reach a one-handed Cmaj13(#11) with octave bass notes on her midi keyboard with consummate ease.
It was 4 in the morning... ...Aidene, totally overcome by emotion and the events of the last 24 hours, felt she needed to apologize to the alien for imprisoning him in the jar. He waved her apology away, saying he understood and there was nothing to forgive, but what really concerned him was that four innocent humans and two of his comrades had lost their lives because of his mission. He knew the mothership would already be in orbit around the earth, coming to collect him and return him for debriefing and mostly likely a painful execution. Whatever happened, though, both he and she knew a bond had been forged that could never be broken by cosmic distance or death.
He asked her to come with him to the same hill top in Chiilicothe where they had first met. In the early hours of the morning , just before sunrise, they stood waiting as the lights of the mothership in the sky slowly drew closer. Aidene said thank you for finally confirming what she always wanted to believe, and the alien in return lightly touched both of her ear lobes, painlessly implanting two tiny metal transmitter probes. With these, he told her that as long as he was still alive they would remain in contact. Any music she heard would be stored then relayed along with her emotions she felt while listening to a waiting Captain Dmnk who came from a distant planet in a solar system, far far away. She would, even though remaining on Sol-3, be able to experience and see his home world having bonded with him during the visit.
"One thing more" added Dmnk was that he was taking a part of Buddy Holly with him, and that part would live on forever. In the melding process the previous day, the spirit or at least part of Buddy Holly was transferred permanently. His music would forever span the galaxies and the universe.
Before he had a chance to say anymore and for Aidene to respond the alien was taken up in a beam of light onto the mothership, and it shot across the sky till it was a speck of light in the distance.
Aidene stood waving, tears in her eyes. As the mothership totally disappeared she turned to leave, Agents Mouldy and Scooby arrived panting after running all the way up the hill. "Where are they?" coughed Mouldy. Aidene just smiled at him knowingly and said "Who?" then walked past the agents down the hill towards home.
"Mouldy, I told you so." scolded Scooby, "It's always the same with you. There's nothing to see here......move along"

Goodbye Aidene...and thank you!
(Alien In a Jar is obviously a work of fiction based on some actual events and real people. It is not meant to be disrespectful in any way... in fact more the opposite)
......on a distant planet in the solar system far, far away an alien sits and waits for a jury of his peers to judge his recent actions on Sol-3, a planet, that whatever happens to him, he will never forget. He keeps the memento of a globe given to him by a precious friend close by at all times. He misses Sol-3, he misses her and he misses the music. The same music he played in his defence during the trial. The judge asks the jury had they reached a verdict on which they all agreed. The jury foreman stands and replies that they have and begins to read the verdict..............
"We the jury, find Captain Dmnk........................"(to be continued)
